Art Show Judge

Roy E. Baldwin

Roy Baldwin is a former Manheim Township Commissioner credited with beginning the Landis Woods Outdoor Art Show.  Always appreciative of the arts, Roy has visited art museums all over the world and has been an ardent supporter of local artists.

A graduate of Cornell University, Roy pursued a career as an engineer.  He also served as a State Representative of the 97th legislative district from 2006 – 2010.

Roy Baldwin has always been involved in community projects including Leadership Lancaster, Got Your Back Network, Manheim Township Historical Society and the Manheim Township Pathway Committee.  He is also an avid athlete and cyclist.

Because of the combination of a drive towards public service and a deep appreciation of art, Roy was inspired to gather some local artists and initiate the beginnings of this show.  The show was initially held inside the Boettcher House Museum with about a dozen artists but has grown into a beautiful outdoor show hosting up to 50 artists and attracting crowds of 1,500 or more.

We are pleased to have Roy Baldwin serve as our judge this year, the show’s originator and tireless contributor to the community.
